Radiological characteristics and high risk of seizures in infants with ruptured intracranial aneurysms: Case series and review of literature
World Neurosurgery Jul 20, 2018
Chen R, et al. - The parameters related to the high risk of preoperative seizures in infants (≤1 year) with ruptured intracranial aneurysms were evaluated. Observations suggest a high risk of preoperative seizures in infant patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms. Researchers frequently identified the typical radiological finding of distal arterial aneurysm with lobe hemorrhage in the middle cerebral artery (MCA) that might be related to the high risk of preoperative seizures in this population. Postoperative seizures were effectively controlled using microsurgical techniques.
