Radiographic and clinical results of iliosacral screw fixation of posterior pelvic ring injuries

Current Orthopaedic Practice Sep 16, 2017

Jawed A, et al. - This study focused on early outcomes of iliosacral screw fixation of unstable posterior pelvic ring injuries, with particular reference to leg-length differences. Percutaneous iliosacral screw fixation provided high patient-reported outcomes and excellent radiographically measured reductions. On longer follow-up, a trend towards increased leg-length difference was noted, but there was no detrimental effect on the clinical progress. A correlation between the Majeed score and the EQ-Visual Analog Score (EQ-VAS) score was also observed.
