Kertzman P, et al. - This study offers information on the use of radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy (rESWT) for the management of fracture nonunions of superficial bones that failed to heal despite initial surgical fixation in most cases. As a management option for fracture nonunions of superficial bones, rESWT appeared to be an effective and safe alternative if diagnosed early and no focused extracorporeal shock wave therapy (fESWT) device is available.
