Yong CM, et al. - Whether the quality of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) care and mortality differ by race (White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Native American), was investigated utilizing the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project database. Asian patients received early invasive treatments but suffered the worst in-hospital mortality outcomes after ACS. Less receipt of guideline-driven care did not abstain black patients from having better in-hospital outcomes.
