Annals of Epidemiology Jan 10, 2018
Bell CN, et al. - In this present study, the researchers evaluated whether racial disparities in cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors differ by socioeconomic status (SES) level. In some CVD risk factors, race disparities varied by SES level. Findings revealed that among those with income ≥$100,000 and those who were college graduates, race disparities in obesity were larger. It was possible that, compared to whites, African Americans experienced fewer health-related benefits of increased income and education levels.
