R-spondin2, a novel target of NOBOX: identification of variants in a cohort of women with primary ovarian insufficiency
Journal of Ovarian Research Aug 24, 2017
Bouilly J et al. – This study investigated the regulation of R–spondin 2 (RSPO2) and its role in pathophysiology of primary ovarian insufficiency (POI). Results of the study highlighted RSPO2 as a novel target gene of NOBOX (newborn ovary homeobox) key transcription factor, which confirms its important role during follicular growth in ovary. Nonetheless, RSPO2 mutations in women with POI are rare and uncommon.
