Quantitative assessment of placental perfusion by three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound for twins with selective intrauterine growth restriction in one twin
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology May 23, 2018
Sun W, et al. - Researchers aimed at quantifying the placental perfusion using three-dimensional (3D) power Doppler ultrasound for twins with selective intrauterine growth restriction (sIUGR) in one twin. They performed a prospective cross-sectional study for 104 normal monochorionic diamniotic twins and 30 twins with sIUGR. Outcomes revealed 3D power Doppler ultrasound to have a potential for sensitively displaying the varying degrees of changes in placental perfusion. Thus it could be used for clinical monitoring of placental perfusion in sIUGR twins.
