Quantifying the impact of noninterpretive tasks on radiology report turn-around times

Glover IV M, et al. - The noninterpretive tasks (NITs) and their effect on report turn-around time (RTAT) amid solo academic neuroradiology overnight coverage in the emergency department are systematically measured in this study. For every 1-min increase in total duration of calls in an hour, mean RTAT increased by 4.25 min. Standardizing capture of NITs may aid the development of strategies that address productivity, communication, and value in radiology.
