Quality of life recovery after laparoscopic high uterosacral ligament suspension: A single center observational study
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Apr 06, 2021
Panico G, Vacca L, Campagna G, et al. - The treatment of pelvic organ prolapse involves laparoscopic high uterosacral ligament suspension (L-HUSLS), a laparoscopic-transposed vaginal technique. Researchers aimed at evaluating quality of life and sexual functions in patients who underwent L-HUSLS for pelvic organ prolapse with the support of a validated questionnaire. They conducted a retrospective study including a total of 60 patients who underwent L-HUSLS between 2016 and 2018. Outcomes suggest that for advanced pelvic organ prolapse, L-HUSLS is seemingly a safe, feasible and effective treatment with high rates of patient self-reported cure.
