Quality-of-life outcomes in patients who underwent subcutaneous immunotherapy and sublingual immunotherapy in a real-world clinical setting

Schwanke T, et al. – In this present study, the quality–of–life outcomes of sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) were compared with subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) outcomes. In investigations, improvements in QOL were reported in both groups. However, changes in overall scores and the majority of domains only achieved statistical significance in the SCIT group. In the SLIT group, a small study population and difficulties adhering to immunotherapy dosing schedules might be the contributing factors.
