Harmon KA, et al. - A total of 22 pediatric patients were involved in order to evaluate the utilization of the National Institutes of Health Quality of Life in Neurological Disorders (Neuro-QoL) in pediatric cases of Sturge-Weber syndrome, a rare neurovascular disorder which often leads to seizures, brain atrophy, calcification, and a range of neurological impairments. Results implied targeting cognitive function Neuro-QoL in treatment trials and reemphasize the prognostic value of early seizure onset. Moreover, gender-related variations were seen, which should be additionally considered.
