Steigerwald F, et al. - The researchers examined the pulse duration settings in subthalamic stimulation for Parkinson's disease (PD). In this study, subthalamic neurostimulation at 30 μs vs 60 μs pulse width was equally effective on PD motor signs. 30 μs pulse width was more energy efficient and had less likelihood of stimulation-related side effects.
