Gournellis R, et al. - This systematic review was performed to clarify whether unipolar psychotic depression (PMD) compared to non-PMD presented higher levels of suicidal attempts. In this meta-analysis, the researchers demonstrated that patients with PMD were at a two-fold higher risk, both during lifetime and in the acute phase, of committing a suicidal attempt than patients with non-PMD, despite data inconsistency and clinical heterogeneity.
