Psychiatric comorbidity pattern in treatment-seeking veterans

Don Richardson J, et al. – Using a retrospective cohort design, the aim of this study was to examined comorbidity patterns in treatment–seeking veterans and currently–serving Canadian Forces members of an outpatient mental health clinic from September 2006–September 2014. The findings demonstrated that treatment–seeking veterans and military personnel had high rates of comorbidity, particularly alongside posttraumatic stress disorder [PTSD]. Therefore, it was critical for clinicians to be able to evaluate and treat comorbidity.
