Protocolized warfarin reversal with 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate vs 3-factor prothrombin complex concentrate with recombinant factor VIIa
The American Journal of Surgery Jan 10, 2018
Barton CA, et al. - In this work, 2 methods of rapid vitamin-K dependent clotting factors replacement [4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F PCC) or 3-factor prothrombin complex concentrate with recombinant factor VIIa (3F PCC with rFVIIa)] for warfarin reversal were compared. Compared to 3F PCC with rFVIIa, a 4F PCC reversal strategy proved efficacious in INR reversal and provided lower thromboembolic risk.
