Rivoisy C, et al. - Researchers performed a retrospective analysis of prosthetic valve endocarditis caused by Candida spp. (PVE-C) cases collected in Spain and France between 2001 and 2015, with a focus on management and outcome. Observations revealed that liposomal amphotericin B (L-amB) induction treatment improved survival in these patients. For frail patients, they suggested medical treatment followed by long-term maintenance fluconazole to be the best treatment option.
