Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention Jul 26, 2018
Park SY, et al. - In a large prospective study of African Americans, Native Hawaiians, Japanese Americans, Latinos, and whites, researchers investigated the relationship of coffee consumption with overall cancer incidence and specific cancer sites. For this investigation, they involved 167,720 patients of the Multiethnic Cohort Study in Hawaii and Los Angeles. The data presented in this work showed a reduced risk of liver, ovarian, thyroid, and endometrial cancers and melanoma associated with higher coffee intake, and results were similar among all the ethnic groups.
