European Journal of Nutrition Mar 24, 2018
Adjibade M, et al. - Whether adherence to the Mediterranean Diet (MD), measured by several dietary indexes, was associated with incident depressive symptoms in a large French cohort, was investigated. Higher adherence to the Mediterranean Diet at midlife was shown to be related to a lower risk of incident depressive symptoms. This was specifically observed in men. Overall, these findings increase the scientific evidence for a beneficial role of Mediterranean Diet on health.
