De Giorgi V, et al. - This study was designed to assess the clinical effectiveness of β-blocker therapy in patients with melanoma and to investigate whether propranolol improves progression-free survival in patients with melanoma. In this first off-label study of propranolol for melanoma treatment, findings supported recent observation that β-blockers protect patients with thick cutaneous melanoma from disease recurrence and death.
