Champion S, et al. - Risk factors for postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) post-cardiac surgery were determined in this study, along with the role of betamethasone with or without droperidol for its prevention. In high risk cardiac surgical patients, an effective decrease in PONV was observed, without any side effect, as a result of treatment with betamethasone with/without droperidol.
