Poterman M, et al. - Atropine was appraised as a prophylactic against negative haemodynamic impacts of anaesthesia induction with propofol and a high dose of remifentanil. As concluded, atropine administration prior to induction of anaesthesia with propofol and high-dose remifentanil can significantly attenuate the decreases in heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and cardiac index (CI).
