Prezelin-Reydit M, et al. - Herein, researchers analyzed all first kidney-only transplants performed in adults in France between 2002 and 2012, to determine the results of preemptive kidney transplantation (PKT) and the impact of pretransplant dialysis. In France, a lower risk of graft failure was noted in relation to PKT than KT performed after the initiation of dialysis, whatever the duration of dialysis.
