Dai C, et al. - Researchers investigated whether and how HE4 expression impacts prognosis in cancer patients. They analyzed the relevant publications from PubMed, Web of Science, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure and WangFang databases that mainly focused on the correlation of HE4 expression level with overall survival, disease-free survival, and progression-free survival. A total of 29 studies, with a total of 4,235 patients were included in this meta-analysis. Findings suggested a link between HE4 expression and a worse prognosis in cancer patients, indicating that HE4 is a potential novel prognostic factor in patients with cancer.
