Prognostic value of progesterone receptor in solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas: Evaluation of a pooled case series
BMC Gastroenterology Dec 20, 2018
Wang F, et al. - Researchers studied 76 cases with solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas (SPNP) from January 2012 to December 2017 to assess the prognostic value of progesterone receptor (PR) in SPNP. They verified the association of negative PR result with poorer disease-free survival (DFS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) by using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, which indicated the role of PR in prognosticating the adverse consequence in cases with SPNP. The investigators concluded that a negative PR result might assist as a potential prognostic factor.
