Prognostic value of preoperative systemic inflammatory biomarkers in patients with gallbladder cancer and the establishment of a nomogram
Cancer Management and Research Oct 26, 2019
Deng Y, et al. - Whether neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), derived neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (dNLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and lymphocyte to monocyte ratio (LMR) have a potential prognostic value in postoperative GBC patients who had radical cholecystectomy, was investigated and a prognostic nomogram was established in these patients in this study including 169 GBC patients who were retrospectively enrolled. A significant link of NLR, dNLR, PLR, and LMR, with overall survival, was demonstrated, whereas, NLR and LMR were retained as independent indicators. Researchers developed a nomogram with an accuracy of 0.801, depending on these independent predictors including tumor differentiation, T stage, N stage, CEA, NLR, and LMR. In postoperative GBC patients, an accurate prediction of individualized survival likelihood could be enabled by the use of this predictive nomogram. Furthermore, this nomogram might assist clinicians in treatment optimization and clinical decision-making.
