Prognostic value of preoperative dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in epithelial ovarian cancer
European Journal of Radiology Apr 05, 2019
Lindgren A, et al. - Investigators analyzed the utility of semi-quantitative and pharmacokinetic perfusion dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) in the prediction of clinical outcome in ovarian cancer (OC) along with its relationship with traditional prognostic factors. They observed higher mean Ktrans values in high-grade serous OC vs other types. They predicted residual tumor with lower mean Ktrans values. They noted an association of greater minimum Vp values with higher International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage. In Kaplan–Meier analysis, They observed the prediction of shorter recurrence-free survival by higher Ve (minimum L-ROI; maximum S-ROI), Vp (maximum S-ROI), and lower time-to-peak (maximum S-ROI).
