Prognostic value of plasma fibrinogen in hepatocellular carcinoma: A meta-analysis
Cancer Management and Research Nov 07, 2018
Huang G, et al. - Given the association of elevated plasma fibrinogen levels with tumor progression in several malignancies, researchers investigated the clinical significance of elevated plasma fibrinogen levels in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). They systematically searched relevant published articles in electronic databases including PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science. Outcomes revealed poor prognosis and advanced tumor progression in correlation with elevated plasma fibrinogen levels. These findings suggested a negative prognostic value of the plasma fibrinogen for patients with HCC.
