Prognostic value of PD-L1 expression in combination with CD8+TILs density in patients with surgically resected non-small cell lung cancer
Cancer Medicine Feb 01, 2019
Yang H, et al. - In this retrospective study, researchers examined the prognostic ability of programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression combined with CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TILs) density in 178 patients with resected non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as well as correlations with clinicopathological features. According to the findings, the combination of PD-L1 and CD8+ TILs density suggested impressive prognostic values in NSCLC patients vs PD-L1 alone. Less than half of NSCLC resected patients had inconsistent expression of PD-L1 between primary and metastatic lesions. A more comprehensive evaluation should be given to PD-L1 expression in advanced NSCLC.
