Zhang X, et al. - Given the association of the miR17-92 family with clinicopathological features in patients with various cancers, including digestive system cancers, researchers investigated the influence of miR17-92-family expression on clinical outcomes in digestive system cancers in this systematic review and meta-analysis. Analyzing a total of 30 qualifying studies involving 4,056 subjects, they identified miR17-92 expression to be significantly associated with poor survival in patients with digestive system cancers. This suggests a possible efficacy of miR17-92 as a promising prognostic marker to monitor prognosis and progression of cancers.
