Prognostic value of lncRNA DRAIC and miR-3940-3p in lung adenocarcinoma and their effect on lung adenocarcinoma cell progression
Cancer Management and Research Nov 10, 2021
Liu Z, Yang S, Zhou S, et al. - A likely involvement of lncRNA (long non-coding RNA) DRAIC (lnc DRAIC)/miR-3940-3p axis in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) progression is inferred based on this study’s findings. Importantly, lncRNA DRAIC/miR-3940-3p can be developed to promising prognostic factors.
A study including LUAD patients (n=122) with complete clinical information.
LUAD tissues and cells demonstrated upregulation of lnc DRAIC but downregulation of miR-3940-3p.
They both had significant links with TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and a poor prognosis.
The potential of lnc-DRAIC and miR-3940-3p as independent prognostic factors for LUAD was observed.
lnc DRAIC inhibition is capable of resulting in inhibition of cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of LUAD partly as a competing endogenous RNA of miR-3940-3p.
