Ji X, et al. – A study was undertaken to explore the relationship between the number of harvested lymph nodes (HLNs) and prognosis of gastric cancer patients without an involvement of lymph nodes. In these patients, an HLN number ≥22 would be helpful in prolonging their overall survival. This outcome was more evident for those at T4 stage. An independent prognostic factor was the total number of HLNs.
