Prognostic significance of the long noncoding RNAs in nasopharyngeal carcinoma: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Cancer Management and Research Jul 10, 2018
Guo H, et al. - Researchers carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis to illustrate the possible role of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and their expression on prognosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). From January 2000 to December 2017, the databases of PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science for relevant articles ranging were searched. Ultimately, 14 eligible publications including 14 on prognosis and eight on clinicopathological characteristics were identified. Poor overall survival and disease-free survival of NPC was linked to high expression of lncRNAs. The findings from the present study suggested that the level of expression of lncRNAs could be a potential prognostic indicator in NPC.
