Prognostic significance of the combination of preoperative hemoglobin and albumin levels and lymphocyte and platelet counts (HALP) in patients with renal cell carcinoma after nephrectomy
BMC Urology Mar 24, 2018
Peng D, et al. - The prognostic significance of a novel index combining pre-operative hemoglobin and albumin levels and lymphocyte and platelet counts (HALP) in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients was determined. A close association between HALP and clinicopathologic features was noted. For RCC patients undergoing nephrectomies, HALP was an independent prognostic factor of cancer-specific survival. The prognosis of RCC can be accurately predicted by a nomogram based on HALP.
