Prognostic significance of standardized uptake value on F18-FDG PET/CT in patients with extranodal nasal type NK/T cell lymphoma: A multicenter, retrospective analysis

American Journal of Otolaryngology Oct 16, 2017

Pak K, et al. - The goal of this paper was to discern the value of parameters analyzed via F18-flurodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in speculating the relapse-free survival and overall survival in patients with extranodal nasal-type NK/T cell lymphoma. The only vital predictive factor discovered herein was the high total lesion glycolysis (TLG), in terms of the relapse free survival. The maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) and mean SUV (SUVmean) estimated through F18-FDG PET/CT displayed the potential of serving as prominent prognostic factors in patients with extranodal nasal type NK/T cell lymphoma.
