Casazza F, et al. - This trial was formulated in order to gauge the role of electrocardiogram (ECG) in the prognosis of patients with pulmonary embolism of different severity. It was reported that Qr pattern in lead V1 served as the sole ECG abnormality linked with in-hospital mortality in high-risk patients, among the electrocardiographic signs of right ventricular (RV) strain/ischemia.
