Prognostic significance of D3 lymph node for survival in patients with colorectal cancer

Huang Q, et al. - Researchers examined whether D3 lymph node (TSLN) could assist in predicting the survival of patients with colorectal cancer. They conducted a retrospective study of 156 patients with R0 resected colorectal cancer with a median follow-up period of 44.0 months. Outcomes revealed the independent prognostic value of TSLN metastasis for the patients; patients with TSLN (+) have a poor prognosis. Given an independent prognostic factor, they recommend considering this factor when evaluating the prognosis of patients.
