Prognostic performance of early absence of pupillary light reaction after recovery of out of hospital cardiac arrest

Javaudin F, et al. - The prognostic value of the absence of PLR upon hospital admission was determined in patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Upon hospital admission after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, loss of pupillary light reactivity was observed to be predictive of a poor outcome. However, it was found to have insufficient accuracy in determining prognosis and decision making.
