Prognostic indicators of survival in sinonasal extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma
The Laryngoscope Feb 27, 2019
Varelas AN, et al. - In this retrospective population-based cohort study, 460 patients were examined to assess the indicators prognosticating survival in sinonasal extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma. They calculated the 5-year overall survival (OS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) as 46% and 56%, respectively. They noted a relationship between greater Ann Arbor stage and worse OS and DSS in multivariate analysis. Consequently, radiotherapy administration was linked with improved OS and DSS. They concluded a correlation between early-stage disease and improved survival. Radiation therapy and chemotherapy significantly improve survival in all Ann Arbor stage patients and early-stage patients, respectively.
