Prognostic implications of Aquaporin 9 expression in clear cell renal cell carcinoma
Journal of Translational Medicine Nov 19, 2019
Xu WH, Shi SN, Xu Y, et al. - Nine hundred and thirteen people with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) with available RNA-sequence data from The Cancer Genome Atlas database and Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center (FUSCC) were consecutively enrolled in investigations in order to examine Aquaporin 9 (AQP9) expression in tumor tissues and described the prognostic value in ccRCC individuals. The study exhibited that in ccRCC individuals, raised AQP9 expression was significantly related to aggressive progression, poor survival, and immune infiltrations and its prognostic value in a real-world cohort was authenticated. Moreover, data imply that in ccRCC, AQP9 may behave as an oncogene and a promising prognostic marker.
