Prognostic impact of tumour-stroma ratio in early-stage oral tongue cancers
Histopathology Feb 22, 2018
Almangush A, et al. - The prognostic value of tumour-stroma ratio (TSR) from original HE-stained tumor-resection slides was exploratively investigated by the researchers in early-stage (cT1-2N0) oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) patients. The inference drawn was that TSR was a simple histopathologic characteristic which assisted in the prognostication of early-stage OTSCC. Data suggested the possible inclusion of TSR analyses linked with BD score in routine clinical pathology reports for HE-stained slides.
