Hayashi Y, et al. - A total of 46 patients followed-up for a median 40 months were analyzed to assess the prognostic features and treatment consequences of advanced maxillary gingival squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) managed with intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy and simultaneous radiotherapy. Researchers observed 64.3% and 84.3% as the 3-year overall survival and locoregional control rates, respectively. They noticed a higher OS rate for patients with N0-1 vs patients with N ≥ 2. They found no grade 5 toxicities. For advanced maxillary gingival SCC, intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy concurrent with radiotherapy was supported as an efficacious regimen .
