Prognostic factors and outcomes in metastatic uveal melanoma treated with programmed cell death-1 or combined PD-1/cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 inhibition
European Journal of Cancer Aug 09, 2017
Heppt MV, et al. – Researchers planned to determine the prognostic factors and outcomes in metastatic uveal melanoma (UM) treated with programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) or combined PD–1/cytotoxic T–lymphocyte antigen–4 inhibition. In metastatic UM treated with immune checkpoint blockade, blood markers predicted survival. In addition, normal serum levels of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and C–reactive protein (CRP) and a high relative eosinophil count (REC) seemed to help identify patients with better prognosis.
