Prognostic analysis of preoperative inflammatory biomarkers in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma
ENT Journal Oct 09, 2019
Xun Y, et al. - Among 151 patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, researchers analyzed the prognostic role of inflammatory biomarkers. The preoperative neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR), mean platelet volume, red cell distribution width, and alkaline phosphatase were measured for this analysis. Findings suggested an association of preoperative high NLR, PLR, and MLR with poor prognosis. For patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, they were found to be effective and reliable inflammatory biomarkers.
