Duenk RG, et al. - This study assessed the impacts of proactive palliative care on the quality of life in patients with advanced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). No improvement was seen in the overall quality of life of patients who received proactive palliative care, however, patients more often made advance care planning (ACP) choices which may lead to better quality of care toward the end of life.
