Principal radiographic characteristics for cervical spinal deformity: A health-related quality-of-life analysis

Spine Sep 21, 2017

Bao H, et al. - This study describes radiographic features of patients with cervical disability and investigated the relevant parameters when assessing cervical alignment. Findings suggested to not consider the traditional concept of cervical kyphosis as the standalone criterion of cervical deformity. C2-C7 sagittal vertical axis (SVA), C0C2 angle, and C2C7 angle were acknowledged as the most clinically relevant components of cervical analysis. Additionally, the three components should be assessed together in harmony and not individually.
