European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Aug 08, 2018
Mogili KD, et al. - Infertile women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) were examined for the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency. In addition, researchers explored how hypovitaminosis D was associated with metabolic syndrome in women with PCOS. They performed a prospective observational study in a tertiary care, infertility center from March 2016 to March 2017. Findings revealed a high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in infertile PCOS women. Hypovitaminosis D and metabolic syndrome were not correlated in this population.
