Cheng W, et al. – This cross–sectional study was performed to evaluate the prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and its correlates in the Yi population of this region. In this area, the physicians found a higher risk of HCV infection when compared with the rest of China and some unique associated factors. To prevent further transmission and consequent morbidities, rapid scale–up of targeted interventions were needed.
