Hiyama A, et al. - Researchers gauged the prevalence and characteristic of diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) by whole spinal computed tomography (CT). Based on whole-spine CT, the prevalence of was 19.5%. More often the experts noted ossification at T8, T9, and T10, and to the right anterior of the vertebral body. The location of ossification was studied for the first time in detail using the axial images of whole spine CT in this study. Authors hoped that the understanding regarding the characteristics of DISH would be increased by this study.
