C. albicans and non-C. albicans species were identified in 36% and 64% of the candidaemia cases, respectively. The activity of caspofungin, amphotericin, itraconazole, and fluconazole antifungals was observed in 99%, 97%, 73%, and 64%, respectively. Death was reported in 64% of patients with candidaemia.
