Prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms in patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries
American Journal of Medicine Jun 06, 2018
Daniel M, et al. - This is the first study examining the prevalence of anxiety and depression among patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries. Ninety-nine patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries together with age- and gender-matched control groups who responded to the Beck depression inventory (BDI) and the hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) three months after the acute event were included. The findings from the present study suggested that anxiety and depression were common, with prevalence rates similar to patients with coronary heart disease.
